Now, video playback is smooth, even when handling 140 megas per second 10-bit HEVC files.
Load this up now, and you can see it takes a few seconds, but once it starts, there is no stutter or dropped frames. All those demanding VP9-2 files will work perfectly fine on this laptop. This is an HDR demo clip, and you’ll see that it looks like slow motion at the start, but it runs smoothly.
Skipping ahead, there’s no slowdown, and it maintains 60 frames per second without issues.
The Iris Xe graphics handles decoding these videos with ease.
Now, onto thermals, where Cinebench R23 puts the system under stress.
